Simrad GD10P - IR point

Life-time stability
The SimSource infrared light source is a solid-state component with a stable output and 60years of expected lifteime. This, together with the Simrad Optonics IR-path design gives you a detector with unparallelled stability.

No false alarms
Unlike most gas detectors in use today, the GD10P will give an error signal and not cause gas alarms in case of detector failure.

No poisioning or saturation
- Immune to silicon vapours, H2S and other widely used agents.
- High gas concentrations will not saturate the detector.
- Can be used to detect gases where oxygen is not present, e.g. in sub-sea production units

Low maintenance costs
GD10P requires no regular field maintenance, apart from cleaning the optics. It has a fixed factory calibration, and is not recalibrated during its lifetime.

Applications:

Refineries
Arrays of GD10P is used for fast detection and reliable location of leaks. Only point detectors are able to do this, and the GD10P point detector does it better.

Chemical industry
GD10P is available in versions detecting different gases, is well suited for sampling systems and is well protected for use in rough environments. Safe detection in industrial plants is not a lightweight task.
